Welcome to Orion's Belt First Intergalactic Tournament

Orion's Belt is proud to announce the first Intergalactic Tournament, where players will battle for a cool 2000€ money prize. The tournament will be held on an exciting 8x8 board game similar to chess. Lead your powerful combat units on a quest to be the supreme Orion's Belt champion! To participate you just need to register at www.orionsbelt.eu and enter the tournament. The tournament's entry fee is just 2€.

Up to 1.000 players will compete to win Orion's Belt First Intergalactic Tournament, but only the very best ten will reach the final phase.

At this time the tournament is already opened for enrollment. Once you've registered you will be grouped with other players and on the 15th of January the tournament will officially start. Until then, you may practice for the tournament by playing Orion's Belt regular games.

The tournament is composed of two qualifying rounds and a final. In the first qualifying round there will be one hundred groups (with ten players per group) and the second round will involve only ten groups (also with ten players per group). In each group, players will battle each other for points. Only the best player in each group will advance to the next phase.

The final phase will be composed of a single group, with the ten best players of the tournament. The supreme winner of Orion's Belt First Intergalactic Tournament will be the one that plays better in the nine matches that compose the final round of the tournament. Orion's Belt matches produce a score based on the combat units that you destroy. The more you destroy, the higher score you'll get. Even if you're going to loose a specific battle, you should try to get the best possible score on that battle because all points will count for the final classification.

How to Enter the Tournament

To participate on the first Intergalactic Tournament you will need to create an account at orionsbelt.eu. Once you've done that you'll need to make a payment and then go to the War Zone and register on the tournament. You'll will be placed on the tournament's player list until the tournament starts.

How to Prepare for the Tournament!

The Orion's Belt combat system is very fun to play, but you'll need to know it well to be able to face the best players. You need to know the combat units and its abilities, and you'll need to know how a game is played. The first thing you must do is to get to know the basic Battle Concepts. When you start the first battle you'll have a live tutorial that will teach you how to move your units on the user interface.

To practice, the best way is to enter the game Campaigns, where you'll face our AI bots. The bots aren't very smart but they'll help you to understand the game. There are several levels you must play that will introduce you to the combat units and the game's mechanics.

There are also several known tactics that you should know in order to be the best on the board. You can find them at the manual under Battle Tactics. On the Gazette, you have available several commented battles for analysis.

When you get to know the game, you can enter our Mini Tournaments. These are tournaments that are started as soon as they get 16 participants. These mini tournaments are free, and anyone can play on them. They are a great way to test your skills against other players.

Last but not least, you can always start a friendly match with other players to test specific tactics or combat units. Orion's Belt has a great community and you'll have lots of players that will gladly skirmish against you.
